My husband and I are considering bringing a nanny along with us on our next vacation so that we might enjoy some couple time away from the kids during the course of the trip. In such a scenario, what is the typical compensation/hrs for the nanny, aside from travel expenses?
Bringing a nanny along on a vacation is quite a nice idea although expensive. It gives you and your husband a chance to be alone while the children have fun with the nanny.
If you decide to take a nanny with you, you should decide before hand how many hours you anticipate she will work, what the hourly is, and what to do if she works more. Also keep in mind are you going to pay her during the travel days? Is she considered on the clock? Annie's Nannies staff and the nannies say yes, some families don't think so. In other words this should all be worked out before taking the nanny with you so everyone understands what is expected in time and pay.
We have nannies who would certainly love to travel with a family. Their hourly rate is usually around $15 per hour. If you would like more information, please contact Teah Achman at 206-784-8462. She will be more than happy to answer any more questions you may have and to find a nanny to travel with your family.
