Should I get my children everything they see and want on TV and the internet for Christmas?
I don't think so. No. Children don't need everything they see and want. Most children have too much stuff already without buying them a lot more stuff that they will play with for a few minutes on Christmas morning and then not look at again. In the old days, when I was a child, I received a gift from my parents, one from grandparents and one from the Aunts and Uncles. Most of the gifts were homemade and meant so much to me. I remember one year I wanted a baby doll for Christmas which I received from Santa Claus. Every Christmas thereafter, my mother made me doll clothes for my doll. That went on until I grew too old to play with dolls. Children love Christmas whatever you get them. What is most important is family and the love that you all share with one another.
